Does it hurt?

    Yes; pain is relative of course. Most people find it at least bearable.

What can I get for the shop minimum? (What's the cheapest tattoo you have?)

    Don't "price shop", but rather "art shop" instead. The old adage "the cheap ends up being expensive" has never been more relevant, then when it comes to Tattoos. Not just in money when you pay to have a "cheap" tattoo altered or covered, but in regret at having made that decision in the first place.

How old do you have to be to get a tattoo?

    The legal age in Washington is 18 yrs old. Period. If someone is willing to tattoo a minor, has no respect for someone's child, and and probably doesn't respect the proper way to prevent the spread of disease.

Why do Tattoo Artists have different ways to take care of tattoos?

    The best thing to do is listen to the tattoo artist that did the work in question. A professional tattoo shop that does quality work, will inevitably know what is best for that tattoo. TRUST YOUR ARTIST...

Why are tattoos so expensive?

    Expensive is a matter of perception. What else can you buy that will last you the rest of your life?

What about the risk of infection or the contraction of a blood born disease?

    Sterility of the environment is key here. There is no room for error when it comes to sterility, and that is exactly  the reason why Altered Reality Tattoo uses ONLY disposable needles and tubes; and LIVE by the philosophy that "when in doubt, throw it out". Other tattoo shops use an auto-clave for the sterilization of needles and equipment which leaves room for error, no matter how slight; and that is an unacceptable risk at Altered Reality Tattoo.
